Iphone 8 – what to expect

This year marks the 10th year anniversary of the first iphone and people have high expectations of the coming iphone 8. Will we see a big improvement on this version? Or will we see just a minor update? We have gathered reports and rumors over the internet and here’s what we found out:

Home Button

Iphone may be the first to not have the Home button in favor of a larger screen. The touch ID or also known as the finger print sensor which is incorporated to the home button will likely to be replaced with on-screen finger print sensor or a face recognition feature. Recently, Apple filed a patent about “on-screen” finger print sensor and there’s a chance that we may see this feature on the upcoming iphone 8.

Display

A 5.8 inch OLED “edge-to-edge” display is widely rumored although it may not be a curved type like what it is on samsung’s galaxy edge.

Camera

There won’t be a huge leap on the camera technology on iphone. Dual camera may become standard on all iphone variants. There are report that iphone may use 3D technology for camera that can be use in replacement for the touch ID.
