What is a Blue Moon?
Idiomatic expression is use to make a language colorful from the normal way of saying statements. There is an idiom which states “once in a blue moon”. What does it really mean? To make it short, it just mean very seldom. How many times do seldom occurs? It might be years after.
As expected, the blue moon will appear on July 31, 2015 at 6:45 pm according to PAGASA’s acting administrator Vicente Malano. Wait, we don’t need to expect too much.
“Blue Moon is not necessarily blue, though it can have a bluish tinge in certain atmospheric conditions, such as in volcanic eruptions or in a situation where exceptionally large fires leave particles in the atmosphere.”
“Since the lunar cycle is 29 days and most months have 30 to 31 days, we eventually find a situation where a full moon occurs at the beginning and the ending of the same month,” -Vicente Malano
The blue moon we are talking here is the second full moon of the month before that was last July 2. Aside from that it is the first blue moon since August 2012 and the next blue moon will occur until 2018.
Blue moons are the perfect time to take a midnight hike. Many state and national parks offer after hours guided hikes during the blue moon, since its fullness provides ample light for navigating the trail. -www.distractify.com
Sometimes, events must take place very seldom like this. You know why? It will always be the most awaited part of the day or year and it is something unusual. Lastly, with this we would take time because it does not occur every day. Although, there are sort of negative signs in its occurrence it is also a perfect time to spend with the one you love and and in the same time your lifetime partner. How romantic it is!
