Truths about becoming Physically Fit

Health is wealth. Everybody heard this statement may be for more than once. Yet, still, the majority live without choosing wisely and unconsciously changing their healthy lifestyle.  The question now is how to become physically fit from living an unhealthy lifestyle. 

Maybe you’ve tried to search on the browser on how to become slim in just a couple of weeks in the easiest way and you should buy a product to become fit again or asked someone physically fit and seek his advice.  You tried to watch Youtube videos of exercises and dance steps or you have a health mobile application and still, you failed to have that physically fit and healthy body.  All of the above didn’t work which will lead you to a question why am I unhealthy? If you are a Filipino, this article is for you.

Now, why are Filipinos unhealthy? In an article by The Philippine Star last June 29, 2016, said that the Philippines is still one of Asia’s unhealthiest country. They conducted a face to face survey to 764 respondents and their answers reveal the truth about Filipino’s health. Simply, unsatisfied due to lack of time for exercise, poor healthy eating habits.

The next question is why Filipinos lack exercise? According to the latest Sun Life Financial Asia Health Index  Philippines has “Generation O” people which means overworked, overweight, and overwhelmed.  So, to get things on track and to achieve that physically fit body here are some practical tips that you can consider.

  1. Ask Why – Know first your reason for you to have a physically fit body. You can always go back for this reason as your motivation along the way.
  2. Ask Who – Accountability partners you can rely on during the process of getting fit. If you don’t have partners, you may subscribe to health experts online and receive daily emails that will help you push that physically fit body.
  3. Ask when– When you should start, when to end and when to track how’s everything is going. Of course, you should not forget on the top of your list when to plan.  The most important part.  Don’t take it too fast, having a physically fit body is not instant. It will take most of your time, effort and a lot of perspiration.

A. Stay focused

By getting focused on what you do makes your goal easier.  Say no to compromise and just keep on going. This is one of the rules one should never break wherein reality majority fails on this mental skill requirement. By getting focused it will let you track everything that you do to achieve physically fit body.  This includes your scheduled time for exercise, meals to eat, prohibited foods with no benefits, time to rest and relax.

B. Be determined

If you start a different eating lifestyle,  daily exercise,  and other requirements for your goal there’s no more turning back.  Before you commit to this one make your stand and surely you will be able to have good results after.

C. Self-discipline

Keep in mind that it is yourself who can help you out of this matter. Better discipline yourself in all aspects needed to become physically fit.

D. Enjoy

It would be hard to complete a task if it does not bring enjoyment. Just enjoy the long way process and its result soon.
